Dr. Amit Goswami visited breathe books on Sunday (Feb. 9). The noted physicist whom you might remember from the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know” was later described by many as so cute, adorable, sweet – accolades along those lines. He was adorable. But what he was teaching us was profound and sometimes hard to wrap the mind around.

He spoke to us about the part of the brain that connects to God big G or god little g – my interpretation. God within us or God without us – the “other G-spot” he called it!

There is scientific evidence, he told us, that God exists because of this inexplicable center of the brain that defies any sort of rational explanation. It’s not material. It cannot be measured, and we can’t touch it – all things scientists want to do. But a scientist like Goswami, or a physician like Deepak Chopra, know that one does need physical evidence to know something exists. It’s simply there.

What I’m taking away from all this — and what I’m working through in my head — is the acceleration of time. I feel as though time is speeding up, rushing towards me and I can barely make sense of it. My past lives are surfacing all the time. People I need to clear Karma with show up around the world – for a minute, for a day or night, for an airplane ride, a friend on Facebook. And in an instant, the Karma is cleared. It’s fascinating. I feel like I’m watching it happen on a movie screen.

So I’ll continue to watch this rush and I won’t try to alter it, avoid it and reach for it. I’m just letting it happen. Goswami agreed that for some of us time is indeed accelerating – it’s not just my imagination. It’s a sort of awakening. The validation was good, so I’ll just let it be and enjoy.
