Did you know that spices and herbs have been used as medicine for thousands of years? In this class we will explore how to use spices like turmeric, ginger, ajwan, licorice, sumac, za’atar and more. Learn how to make simple vegetarian dishes with healing herbs and spices, mostly based on Ayurveda remedies, but with a few other international tips thrown in! We will also explore some “superfoods” (a term that really just means densely nutritive foods) such as cocoa, garlic, avocado, berries and potatoes –( https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/true-superfoods#section9) and how to cook with them in order to get the most health benefits.
